Anup Rao is an associate professor of computer science at the Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Washington. He is interested in mathematics and theoretical computer science. When he is not exercising his brain on these topics, he likes to exercise his body rock climbing, skiing, going on alpine adventures, dancing and playing pickup basketball with undergraduates who become reluctant to foul him once they figure out that he is a professor. He loves to travel, and loves art of all kinds. Anup feels fortunate to have been advised by David Zuckerman.
