Bruce Shepherd graduated from C & O at the University of Waterloo in 1990. His advisor was Bill Pulleyblank. His thesis focused on packing problems and polyhedral combinatorics. Apart from his passion for the theory of algorithms and optimization, he has also endeavoured to apply the gospel in practice. He has worked as an operations research consultant in London and worked for 10 years at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies.

Adrian Vetta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics and the School of Computer Science at McGill University. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and a doctorate from MIT, written under the supervision of Santosh Vempala.
